Modeling shadows un-wanted.

Any way to get rid of the shadows in the main window during modeling?

Try either the smooth type or the smooth angle under the objects property settings.

Edit:
If you want to totally get rid of the shadows, use a solid color material (from the special material folder, you can change the color to whatever you want). Then you can set the display to isoline to help see the edges.

You might want to adjust your default material at the Preferences->Color: give the Default Material Emissive a higher value for instance.

You could also temporarily (while modelling) add (turn on) an "Ambient Light" - this removes any suggested shadows in the 3D viewer. Just turn it off when you're setting lights and for rendering.

Didn't think of that one! Nice solution.
