Animate Metal Material into being Transparent

I am sure this is a simple thing, but I am trying to make the Metal Material become transparent on an extruded text. Any information is appreciated.

You can't use the Metal shader for transparency, but you can use the standard Material shader for both.

Also the PBR shader supports alpha transparency.
