Mr Nice

This is a basic George Jetson head. I think the hair is coming along, I like the big chunks look better. Simple is what I want. No sketch as such, just George Jetson. Mr Nice is done, now for something more interesting.

Cheers

The Pirate

Thanks Albert.

Ha! That was a long time ago, Bob. And yep, it has taken 9 years to get here now. Wow, that was long.

This is what I was looking for. The style is right, basic simple faces.

Billion Dollar Gran

I blocked out the basic head shape first, then built around it. That seemed to be the easiest way for me.

Nice toon hands, I'd like to see the wireframe. (if it's too much to ask don't bother just wondered what they look like before smoothing.):icon_thumbup:

I think this is Andrew's hand from the tutorial, Bob, I think, from 10 years ago, can't quite remember? But here it is. But I also used reference. BTW, Pinerest is a great source for reference, tons of stuff.

yes I agree been there for a few years. thanks I'll have to start using it more.:icon_thumbup: P.S. Thanks for the wire frame.

When I was 16 (first job) a guy in a studio said to me, your illustration is only going to be as good as your reference. He was right. I have collected tons of reference over the years, I have thousands. It's a great starting point because you can see what you want and what you don't want instantly. And Pinterest is a goldmine for my collection.

You're welcome Bob. Anything to help.

:D Oh I really like him too!
I guess it's the softer side of the kid in us.

My Best

Ugly Sister

Next I'll create the body, the dress I'm assuming is going to be some work. Been looking a lot at Carter Goodrich.

Ha! I see what you mean, Bob. I love those old shows. When I moved to NYC in 1984 The Honeymooners was on every night. Love that show.
