Global Light Control

Martin,

I'm working on a project now that has a bunch ofd lights. I want to use radiosity but it tkes to long for the time being, but I did render one overnight and it looked great. But again it I need it to be a bit faster. So, I switch to ambient which works fine too, but all the lights are a bit underpowered becuase I don't have the radiosity bounce.

It would be nice if there was a global light control that would change the intensity of all the lights in the scene by a percentage, up or down. This setting would keep the relative light values the same, adjust the overall intensities.

Does this sound crazy? I know Lightwave has this feature.

Hi,
no that doesn't sound crazy. That task would be a perfect job for a script. The last month I rewrote a lot of code under the hood to get closer to a finalization of the Javascript API. Once I'm done with the Javascript stuff writing a script which does that job shouldn't take more than 50 lines.

Martin

50 Lines!!!?

Might as well be the Gutenberg Bible as far as I'm concerned, but, for genuis like you Martin-piece of cake. Can't wait.
